Springfield Man Arrested in Sterling for Abduction
A Springfield, VA man wanted for abduction and violation of a protective order was apprehended the evening of May 4, 2010.
Loudoun County Sheriff’s Deputies apprehended Carlos Alberto Bonilla, 34, around 5:15 p.m. in a parking lot in the 45130 block of Columbia Place in Sterling, VA. Deputies learned earlier in the day that Bonilla may be coming to the area to try and make contact with the victim where she works. He was charged with abduction, destruction of property, trespassing, larceny and three counts of violation of a protective order. He was also served two capias warrants in connection with a previous conviction.
Bonilla was wanted in connection with an April 14, 2010 incident where he entered a residence in the 1000 block of Sanderson Drive in Sterling and forcefully removed the mother of his children and put her in a vehicle. The 45-year-old female victim was able to escape. Bonilla fled the area prior to the arrival of law enforcement.
Bonilla remains held at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center without bond.
