Purcellville Street Closings For Sidewalk Work

On Thursday, between the hours of 9 AM and 3 PM, the  northbound lane of South 20th Street (near the intersection with D Street) will be closed
due to work associated with the D Street Sidewalk Project.  Signage and flaggers will direct traffic during this time.  The Contractor for the Town will be installing water main at the intersection and then along D Street. Residents in this area may experience temporary discoloration in the water which will clear up after running the water for a short period.

During the week of July 26, 2010, and continuing for the duration of the project, D Street, between South 20th Street and South 15th Street, will be closed to through traffic due to the work.   Drivers are asked to be aware of work zones and to be alert for changes in traffic patterns where work is being performed.  Construction by the Town’s contractor is anticipated to continue through September.

This project is funded in part by the Department of Housing and Urban Development Community Development Block Grant funds administered by the Loudoun County Department of Family Services.
