Lovettsville Resident Charged in Shooting

Janet L. Edge, 53, of Lovettsville, VA, was charged with malicious wounding and discharging a firearm in an occupied dwelling. The suspect and a 58-year-old male victim also of Lovettsville, VA, got into an argument that escalated into a physical altercation. The suspect then allegedly retrieved a firearm and brandished it towards the victim. The victim was struck in the hand after the firearm was discharged. The victim was taken to Cornwall Campus of INOVA Loudoun Hospital where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Edge remains held without bond at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center.
