Ashburn Man Killed Crossing Route 7

An Ashburn, Virginia man attempting to cross Route 7 on February 13, 2010 lost his left after he was struck by a vehicle.

The victim, Mitchell Guerrero, 18, was crossing Route 7 just east of George Washington Boulevard around 6:30 a.m. The driver of a 2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser was merging from the right-turn lane to a thru-lane when the victim crossed into the vehicles path. Guerrero was taken to the Lansdowne Campus of INOVA Loudoun Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. Neither alcohol nor speed was a factor in the incident.

The incident was investigated by the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office Crash Reconstruction Unit.
