Additions To Virginia Death Penalty Voted Down

The Senate Courts of Justice Committee voted down Senate Bill 7 which sought to expand eligibility for the death penalty. The bill would have removed the state’s “triggerman rule” which restricts capital punishment to the criminal who committed the crime.
